Finally some confirmation from an actual mobile provider that the Nokia N96 is scheduled for September release in the UK. The 3 network held a media event yesterday that a couple of lucky bloggers got to attend and there they had the Nokia N96 on show and talked of it’s September release date.

Nokia N96 Release date changed to August 28th

As promised in my last post, I said I’d summarise when other blogs believe the Nokia N96 release date will be.

Generally the release date rumours are UK based. For a long time now Play.Com has had the Sim-Free version of the phone listed as being available from 31 July. On researching this article… ....

Yesterday saw Nokia announce its Q2 financial results to the world. There were some interesting nuggets of information in there.

In regards to the N96 release date, Executive Vice President of Devices Kai Oistamo gave a clear answer during the conference call for those of us that are waiting with baited breath :
“The N96 … we expect to start selling in this quarter.”

Just a quick update today … a couple of more reviews have popped up in the online media that are worth having a look at if you still can’t get enough of reading about the N96.

Promotion is really starting to kick off for the Nokia N96, with Nokia launching a new dedicated website entitled “Face The Task”.
