Nokia N96 Comes With Mobile TV Channel “Capsule 96″
Hot on the back of the news that UK Nokia N96 users will be able to make use of the BBC iPlayer, today came the announcement that users of the Nokia N96 will also be able to access their own mobile TV channel, entitled “Capsule 96″.
With this N96 users will have access to download mobisodes of “exclusive entertainment and lifestyle programming for free”.
And the length of each mobisode? Why, 96 seconds of course! How clever is that from the marketing team at Nokia.
According to The Inquirer :
Capsule N96 will feature a motoring style show called Cabin Fever; a fashion-based programme called Portfolio; Pulse, an entertainment feature on the latest galleries, festivals and performances; a technology bit dubbed Byte-Wize; a Cribs-type show called Power Pads and a comedy bit called Funnyhaha.
So it’s all go! Nokia is definitley turning up the heat in it’s bid to take on the iPhone head to head. Maybe this is why we had to wait so long for it to be released - perhaps the Marketing team at Nokia just couldn’t run any faster! And lets face it, if you’re going to take on the iPhone, good marketing definitely helps.
I think the best article I’ve read on this today can be found at Tech Radar .
It will be interesting to see just how much they can squeeze into that length …
… now, did it take you longer than 96 seconds to read this?
