Nokia N96 Pricing and Release Confirmed On Orange and O2 In UK
Finally after months of waiting we have been given a view on the pricing for the Nokia N96 within the UK.
Up until now Mobile Network 3 had been the only carrier to confirm for certain that they’d be releasing the Nokia N96 in the UK, although it was pretty much expected that the other big players would be selling it as well.
Rumours that O2 would dismiss the N96 in favour of the iPhone have proved wildy untrue - today comes news from PhonesLimited that the Nokia N96 is now available for order on both the Orange and the O2 sites.
PhonesLimited appears to be a bit ahead of the game here as the Orange and O2 sites themselves are still failing to mention the N96.
This news should not be mistaken as the release of the phone though, this still seems slated for October 1st, with the website saying :
PRE ORDER NOW! STOCK EXPECTED EARLY OCTOBER
On Orange the Nokia N96 will be available on a wide range of “animal” plans and price ranges. Most notably it is free on the 18 month £35 plans.
On O2 contracts the cheapest price plan for a Nokia N96 with a “free” phone is listed as £45 per month.
The sim free price of a Nokia N96 is listed as being a wallet breaking £629.20. Ouch!!
Previously 3 Network had announced the phone would be available on their £15 mix and match deal - although like the others the Nokia N96 isn’t shown on their website at present.
It’s expected that Vodafone will also be selling the Nokia N96, although currently they only have a sign up email link on their site.
