Cool Things You Can Do With Your Nokia N96
One of the best things about the Nokia N96 is that it runs on the Symbian operating system. For those of you are new-ish to the world of N-Series devices, the fact of the matter is these phones are mini-computers, and where Pcs have Windows/Linux and Macs have OSX, Nokia N-Series phones have Symbian.
What this means is that you are able to install applications onto your phones, and some of them are really quite good. Some of my personal favourites include Nokia Sports Tracker and Nokia Step Counter - two very handy tools for anyone interested in keeping fit.
Mark over at The Nokia Blog has just released an updated version of his top 10 symbian applications. There’s some brilliant examples here. For example did you know there’s an application that can tell you what song is playing on the radio just by listening to it?
Definitely a list worth checking out if you’re looking to get more from your Nokia N96. Also worth checking out is Nokia’s Beta Labs which has a long list of cool applications that are available to install on your N96. And don’t be afraid to google around and see what else is out there … of course, always make sure you’re only installing trustworthy software!!
