Nokia N96 - My Xenon Flash Request Continues!

Readers of this blog will know that I am a strong believer that the Nokia N96 - which is afterall supposed to be Nokia’s high-end N Series phone - should have come with a Xenon flash. Before release date I was secretly hoping that they might do a last minute update to the phone and give it Xenon flash rather than dual-led - but alas, no such luck.

My next secret hope is that they might release a version 2 with a Xenon flash. Fingers crossed.

Why am I so hot on why the phone should have a Xenon flash? Well, any N95/N96 user who has tried to take a photo in a bar at night will know full well that the flash is, lets face it, useless.

Further proof of this can be seen over at TheNokiaBlog, where Mark has given us 4 photos to compare. The competitors : a Nokia 8GB (Single LED) , Nokia N96 (Dual LEDs) , Nokia N85 (Dual LEDs), Nokia N82 (Xenon).

I fly on the side of caution so won’t post the photos here, but strongly suggest you head over to the original article - you will be amazed at the difference that a Xenon flash makes!

Come on Nokia - please give us the Xenon flash!
